It couldn't be easier. Just mix 1/3 of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with 2/3 of mineral water (tap water isn't good for your face) in a little bottle as it is better to make more often than keep it for ages. In average I would say keep it a week. If you have a very sensitive skin, use rather 1/4 ACV and 3/4 water. As I already told you in my article about 10 natural face lotions, AVC is great because it is : - Astringent - Balance your pH level - Improves blood circulation - Antiseptic - Fights acne I personally use it in the morning to clean up my skin (just like I used to use the hydrosol of "Listé Citronnée") by spraying some on a cotton pad and pass it onto my face before my face cream. I could use it at night but I still don't have finished my Rose Hydrosol ( see my review about the one sold by De Saint Hildaire here or the Rose Lotion I make myself at home from sratch here). Some people don't like the smell of the AVC but I don't mind really, and you have to keep in mind that the smell goes away when it dries. Do you use ACV in your Beauty routine ? For your Face ? For your Hair ?

After long cold months to work, I needed a bit of vacations and sun out of Dublin ! So my boyfriend and I booked a weekend away in Barcelona. As we are only going for 3 days, we agreed to not take extra suitcases to not have extra cost. Therefore, we can only travel with our handlugage of 10 kg authorised by Ryanair. I don't know about you guys, but I normally don't really travel light... So I'll have to deal with bringing it all, smal size ! Here is my beauty bag, special "it needs to fit in my hand luggage" and my technics : 1 - Rebottle !Refits everything you need in smaller bottle for two reasons : - it will take less space and weight - your original bottle may be over the 100ml allowed in a hand luggage. My best trick is using a travel contact lenses kit, as you can see in the picture here above. I use the contact lenses holder to put my mousse foundation and my daycream. I used one little bottle to put one of my homemade face toner and the other for Avocado oil. The latter will be used as both a oily make up remover and a night cream serum. And there is a little but alwas usefull mirror included. 5 Producst in such a small space = Victory ! As I am going to Spain and living in Ireland, I a whiter than Simon Cowell's tooth ! Suncream is a must ! My original bottle of Boots Suncream is 200ml, so I filled up a clean 100ml travel bottle with it to take for the weekend, it's more than enough. I transfered my Monoï from the bottle into a pot which is smaller and more pratical. I will use it for my hair as a conditionner and as a body cream. The sent is perfect to feel in that holidays mood. I will also use it as a light deodorant : Monoï is made out of coconut oil in which Tiare flower have been macerated. Coconut oil can be used as a deodorant thanks to its antibacterial proprieties. One product, three uses : winner ! 2 - Use Miniatures !You can get miniature versions or sample of products when you buy another one or though promotional offers. Here are the ones I'll take with me to Spain : - Perfume : a miniature of ETERNITY by Calvin Klein. - Mascara lash activator - Cream blush : cheek activator - Corrector one base All 3 are from CARGOS in pocket version. I have been given a little make up bag from this brand with also the Lip pencil & gloss I talked to you about in this article about lipsticks, as a gift from a beauty shop (you know, the type of offer "spend that much in our shop and you will receive this") I will force myself to not bring my homemade loose powder, my homemade fixating spray, any eyes shadows etc, I'll keep it to the mininum make up I need... 3 - The Rest- Of course I will not forget my toothbrush and toothpaste - I will bring only one of my hair brushes : my favorite, the wood & cahoutchou one from TEK - My homemade coloured lipstick, I always have one with me - A black eyeliner which had a long life already and now it is quite small - Some cotton pads & earplug - Some hair accessories I will not be taking soap/shampoo, all the hotels give out some, not natural or organic I know, but I will survive... -------- And that's all, after all, let's face it, it's only a weekend ! :) And you, what beauty bag do you take on holidays ?
You can buy a rose hydrolate or hydrosol (also called floral water or herbal distilate) in organic shops. They are used since the medieval times, by the nobel ladies, for the beauty care regiment. J'utilise celle de la marque De Saint Hilaire, 9€/200ml, bio See my full review of this hydrosol HERE Voir ma revue complete sur cet hydrolat ICI. Make your own ! Faites la votre !
1/ pick delicately the petals, I used 6 Roses 1/ récupérez les pétales délicatement, j'ai utilisé 6 roses 2/ wash them well, I used Homemade liquid Marseille Soap 2/ lavez les bien. J'ai utilisé du savon de Marseille liquide maison 3/ in a very large saucepan, put a bowl (resistant to heat) in the center 3/ placez un bol résistant à la chaleur dans une grande casserole 4/ dispose the petals all around 4/ disposez les pétales tout autour 5/ add water, using bottled spring or mineral water (rather than tap water) is recommended as this will be a product for your face. J'ai utilisé 1.5L d'eau 6/ put the lid in the wrong way around 6/ mettez le couvercle a l'envers 7/ put the heat on and let it, while keeping an eye on it, for a couple of hours. It need to be hot boiling all over the place, so keep it from low to medium temperature 7 / allumez le feu et laissez-le, tout en gardant un oeil dessus, pendant quelques heures. Si cela bout trop, cela va aller partout, alors gardez le de faible à moyenne température
Personally I added two ingredients to mine : Vodka, to preserve the product better and add more cleaning effect (do not be chocked, store bought facial toner usually contain more that 50% alcohol) & Vegetal Glycerin, for extra hydratation. I added about a teaspoon and a half of each. Then I put it in small bottles... Puis je l'ai mis en bouteille...

You will see, it is easy, cheap and natural !
